What hours does the Grand Rapids Party Pedaler operate?

Monday – Saturday: 10:00am – 10pm

Sunday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

Grand Rapids Party Pedaler operates Spring, Summer, and Fall (April-October).

Is alcohol allowed on the Party Pedaler?

Yes! Alcohol is allowed on Grand Rapids Party Pedaler. Sorry, no hard liquor, wine, glass bottles, or Jell-O shots allowed. Anyone who brings alcohol on board the Grand Rapids Party Pedaler will be carded and must be 21 years of age.

 

Please note that once an alcoholic beverage is opened, it must stay on the Grand Rapids Party Pedaler. Failure to follow this law could result in a police-issued ticket.

What is the pricing for private tours?

Monday-Thursday: 2 hours $315 - 2.5 hours $390 - 3 hours $455

Friday-Sunday: 2 hours $345 – 2.5 hours $425  - 3 hours $495 

Can I choose my own stops?

Yes! However, Grand Rapids Party Pedaler operates on a city-approved route that we cannot deviate from. We have various stops we can make which means we will be in close proximity to most bars and restaurants downtown. If there are particular places you would like to go, please discuss that with your driver before your tour begins.

 

How many people can ride the party bike?

Downtown Grand Rapids: we recommend a minimum of 8, and a maximum of 15. The closer your group is to full capacity the lower the per person price is.  There are up to 10 pedalers at a time, 5 others can be seated.

 

Where do the tours start/end?

All tours start & end on Summer Ave. near the corner of Bridge St.  Type in 428 Bridge St. NW into your GPS and you’ll find us!

 

Where do your pub crawls go?

When do I need to arrive?

We ask that groups please arrive 10-15 minutes early. We suggest arriving early so you can, sign your waiver, get comfortable, choose your music, and take pictures.

 

The only time we don’t operate is December – February, and when mother nature doesn’t play nice. If this happens you will be contacted, we will try to reschedule or a future credit can be provided.

What should I know before I get on the tour?

What are your rules and restrictions?

Simple! We ask all riders to show the same level of respect to our bike, your driver, and the city of Grand Rapids as you would any other person or business. Individuals or groups exhibiting excessive intoxication, unsafe behavior or other inappropriate behavior will have their tour immediately terminated, without refund.

 

Is there music on Grand Rapids Party Pedaler?  Can we bring our own playlist?

Yes, the MegaCycle features an amplified 6-speaker sound system with Bluetooth connectivity. You have the capability to choose from nearly any genre or you can bring your own playlist and be your own DJ.

 

What should I bring for my pedal tour?

Our tours include the MegaCycle, trained tour guide, coolers, music, and entertainment. You’re welcome to bring your own beverages (alcoholic or not) and snacks.

Suggested items you should bring include: cups (no glass), decorations, ice, and snack food (chips, pretzels, etc.)

Do you offer room for storage?

Yes! MegaCycle has purse hooks below the bar and ample overhead storage for purses, jackets, and backpacks.

 

Restricted items?

Sorry, no guns, weapons, drugs, glass bottles, flasks, or hard liquor are permitted on Party Pedaler at any time!

 

Do all riders need to be 21+?

No! We encourage riders of all ages to participate in our tours!

However, we do not encourage children or teenagers on pub crawl-type tours without adult or guardian supervision.

Party Pedaler is a great way to take your family on a scenic or historical tour of Downtown Grand Rapids.

Can I jump on when I see the Party Pedaler rolling by?

Sorry, no. Grand Rapids Party Pedaler is not a taxi service. We provide tours for groups and nearly all tours travel at capacity, or are private parties for a special occasion.

 

Should we tip our driver/tour guide?

We strongly encourage tipping. Our drivers /tour guides work hard to provide an incredible experience for you and your group. If your group enjoyed the ride, then please consider tipping.  Most tip between 18-25%.

 

Where do we park for public tours?

There are various street parking spots nearby, there is a charge Monday-Friday until 7pm. Saturday-Sunday street parking is free.

 

Are gift certificates available?

Of course! This is a perfect birthday gift, anniversary, graduation and so much more. Gift certificates can be purchased at our Gift Certificates page.  Gift certificates can be used towards public or private tours.

 

How do I use my gift certificate?

To use a gift certificate, you must call the office at (616) 901-9719 or email: grpartypedaler@gmail.com

Gift certificates can be used for any public tour that is listed at Book A Tour as long as that tour has room available.

Gift certificates can also be credited towards a private tour.

About Booking Information

 

To book a public tour head over to our Book A Tour page to begin booking and select your desired tour.

 To book a private tour call or text (616) 901-9719 or email grpartypedaler@gmail.com. Private tours are available 7 days a week! 10am-10pm Monday-Saturday, 10am-8pm Sunday.

What is the cancellation policy?

Refunds are not given unless a tour is canceled by Grand Rapids Party Pedaler due to weather that is deemed unsafe (that does not include moderate wind or heavy rain).

 

How are cancellations and refunds handled?

Cancellations for public tours must be arranged 5 days prior to your scheduled tour for a refund (minus a $5 processing fee per ticket).  If you cancel after this time you will be refunded half of your payment.  No refund if you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled tour.

Cancellations for private tours must be arranged 45 days before your scheduled tour for a refund (minus a $10 processing fee).  If you cancel after this time you will receive half of your down payment back.  If you cancel less then 5 days there will be no refund.  If you cancel a private tour you booked using a gift certificate the cancellation policies will apply towards your gift certificate.

Tours canceled or postponed due to weather have the flexibility of rescheduling to another time and day for an entire year!  However, that is the customer’s responsibility to choose another day and time.

Grand Rapids Party Pedaler will operate in rain so please dress appropriately for the forecast. If we need to reschedule, we will do our best to ensure we can find an alternative date for your group.

Do you combine small groups on the Party Pedaler?  Can my group of less than 8 ride?

Sorry, we need a minimum of 8 riders in order to move the Grand Rapids Party Pedaler and provide an enjoyable experience. We cannot combine small groups. With online reservations and payments, it is challenging to coordinate and accommodate. To provide the best experience, it is best to keep Party Pedaler reserved for your group only or book by the seat.

How long are the tours?

Tours range between 2-3-hours routes.  You choose!  If you are interested in an extended tour or renting the bike for the whole day or special event or outing, please shoot us an e-mail and we will provide a quote within 48 business hours. We hope we have the opportunity to serve you!

Note: We will not mail an actual ticket.  All you need to bring is a valid state i.d. with the name the ticket/tickets were purchased under. 

What is included on a private tour?

If you book a private tour you have the flexibility to choose the time frame and where you want to go.  Every private tour will be led by a tour guide.  With private tours we will help put together a schedule, make reservations when possible, and we can ever book private brewery tours where available.  We are here to help you customize a tour for your ultimate tour experience.

Can you do hotel pickups?

No.  You must the Party Pedaler at Summer Ave. NW near the corner of Bridge St.  Type in 428 Bridge St. NW into your GPS and you’ll find us!

Can I drink before the tour starts?

Yes, but if we suspect that you are intoxicated we will not let you on the Party Pedaler and there will be no refund.  Save the drinking for the tour.  There will be plenty of time to indulge while on the tour.

Where does our tour take us?

You get to choose what route you want! We have various designate routes approved by the city.

Is food available on the tour?

We do not supply food, and there typically is not be enough time to order food at the stops.  Bring your own snacks!

 

What happens if only a few seats sell on a public tour?

We reserve the right to cancel a tour if less than eight people have booked 48 hours prior to the tour.  At that time, you will be refunded your money, or you can select an alternate tour date.    It is very rare for us to cancel a tour.

 

Can I buy beers to take home with me during the tour?

Yes!  Feel free to buy cans or crowlers of your favorite beers from the breweries we visit.  No glass though. You can use our cooler to store the beer in. Bring your own ice if you want to keep it cold.
